  • Choosing A Web Host

    Choosing an Webhost , an another boring post regarding post regarding choosing a new webhost ?? Not really Boring. Till a month ago I was thinking only uptime, webspace and bandwidth and cost are the points to be noted while choosing the host. But they are the only one Side of Coin.

    Reliability , Support and limitation is another side of Coin and the most important part of this selection.

    Recently Seen with Chetan‘s Don’t Laugh – self hosted wordpress was suffering from Account suspension from Webhost. Reason : CPU Usage overload. This part i never looked. site was having near about 1500 Unique visitors consuming its resources. No Intimation nothing site was suspended.  Just because of load of visitors ?? site is made to have visitor and Don’t Laugh was punished for Same Damn.

    After all on reading terms of Service of Host we found only 10% of CPU usage was allowed. hosting was from Some local Reseller. since payment mode was not paypal those days (earlier days of My and Chetan’s Internet Use) But many paypal hosting like Host Gator, Mc Kremie, Dream host provides very high % of CPU usage as compaired to that hell.

    Now Don’t Laugh is back. Enjoy the Site. But remember the points regarding choosing web hosting.

  • Download Torrent without Torrent Client in your System

    Does it look strange ?? not at all. there are web based torrent clients. what all you need ??

    • High speed Connectivity
    • Good Browser – I recommend Firefox 2+
    • JRE – Java Runtime Environment

    Bitlet is one Web based Torrent clients, works simply great. all you need is to Torrent files location from your favourite torrent search engine. Put that location into Bitlets Text feild. and save the Downloading file. Last not least you can resume your downloads later by simply downloading same file at same location.

    Works Great in my office what about you?? are you still hiding your Torrent client in school/College / Office ??

  • After a busy Week

    Diwali fever is over but yet the laziness is there. now its time to get back to work. Pending office Task are finished, now turn to finish up my personal pending task.

    Long Ago not sure a month back, I published my first Open Source script – PHP Fake mail. Script was available for Download. no Demo was there. yesterday I put a Demo. This Demo is Restricted to send mail to only Gmail User.

    Lots Task are pending – Hope its time to finish them up.

  • How To Download From Youtube India ??

    Sorry Mates, I am offline For few days More so little delays in postings. YouTube India Was launched Few month Back with the Great Applaud. then few month later url redirection Funda Was implemented on the Basis of IP Address. So for an Indian you are redirected to IN.youtube.com (country specific was great).

    I am not Great fan of youtube, just use it for knowledge and little entertainment purpose. Fast Video Downloader and Video Downloader Addon of Firefox were greatly working to Download them. Well I am a bit lazy kind of person downloading video from youtube after a long time. Today both Didn’t worked since they are not upgraded for IN.youtube.com (Youtube India). I thought some encryption in Youtube url is changed. so used proxy to visit youtube.com URL was all same just “IN” was added ahead. Not even a Single Online Youtube downloader is Prepared for IN.youtube, so you have to remove IN. from the url to work on online downloaders like TechCrunch Downloader, etc.

    Hurray !! I got No spam since last 5 days. i.e no work for Akismit. 5 day ago i tried Recaptcha plugin for wordpress. and the results are great !!

  • Google does not serve more than 1000 results for any query

    This may not be new for you people but its new for me. Whenever you Search some stuff in google. its comes back with a Huge number (I am poor in maths to count that number). I searched for my name ” Abhishek ”

    Query : https://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=Abhishek

    Result is in Image.

    The Big Number 4,730,000. Now I want to see 1000 Result so I add &num=100&start=990 To the query.

    So Query is

    and the output as follows.


    Hell !! only 1000 Search Results are available then why show a big number 4,730,000 . Is that sort of method to make people feel like we cawl the whole web?? why so Dear google ??

  • Google Ads on Twittad

    This is some thing strange when i observed Twittad . Twittad is a Advertising Agency where User over Twitter sells an Advertising space on his twitter profile page. and Advertiser buys an advertising space for whatever amount. Idea is not really bad. Social Site like Twitter allowing this is really great !! Twittad is working on excellent platform Plenty of users are over Twitter, so by few days Twittad will grow like Adbrite.

    Just have look at following image( May be you need click on image for clear view !!)

    In footer of above image you can found contextual ads by Google. If a company can’t bring some advertiser to there own site how could they get Advertisers for the Publisher ( Twitter Users) ??

  • Google in CLI

    Real Men Don’t Eat Quiche. Real Programmers Don’t Write Pascal Real Computer Users don’t use WIMP interfaces (that’s WIndows, Mouse, Pointers for the uninitiated). So, a command-line interface to Google is a must! So Goosh is there !! Google shell with tab completion and history.

    I wish it gave more options, though, to set preferences like how many items returned per query, and the ability to mix -l (lucky) with i (image). I tried a sudo gedit, but it didn’t work. Absence of calculator. heavy use of AJAX. and few more stuffs are missing.

    Overall : Intelligent uses Telnet for same. But the Comand line Interface of Google is must and that is made by Stefan Grothkopp with Google code. Its worth to visit !!

  • Ten Glorious Years for Google

    Google Inc, was founded on 7th sept 1998. 10 years have been passed. Good luck for there future.
