  • Google Ads on Twittad

    This is some thing strange when i observed Twittad . Twittad is a Advertising Agency where User over Twitter sells an Advertising space on his twitter profile page. and Advertiser buys an advertising space for whatever amount. Idea is not really bad. Social Site like Twitter allowing this is really great !! Twittad is working on excellent platform Plenty of users are over Twitter, so by few days Twittad will grow like Adbrite.

    Just have look at following image( May be you need click on image for clear view !!)

    In footer of above image you can found contextual ads by Google. If a company can’t bring some advertiser to there own site how could they get Advertisers for the Publisher ( Twitter Users) ??

    Real Men Don’t Eat Quiche. Real Programmers Don’t Write Pascal Real Computer Users don’t use WIMP interfaces (that’s WIndows, Mouse, Pointers for the uninitiated). So, a command-line interface to Google is a must! So Goosh is there !! Google shell with tab completion and history.

    I wish it gave more options, though, to set preferences like how many items returned per query, and the ability to mix -l (lucky) with i (image). I tried a sudo gedit, but it didn’t work. Absence of calculator. heavy use of AJAX. and few more stuffs are missing.

    Overall : Intelligent uses Telnet for same. But the Comand line Interface of Google is must and that is made by Stefan Grothkopp with Google code. Its worth to visit !!

  • More on Chrome

    Google launched Chrome Day before yesterday, Looks are fine, Gears make the Speed great yet this is week 1 of chrome in Market so many more things are yet to come. currently no long list of feature is present but whatever is there is nice. first thing what i tried on chrome was about:config ,General configuration panel for browser. well Blank page remain there. so config panel remain hidden yet. but few tricks like about:memory gives you the task manager in chrome showing tasks in Chrome.

    about:network
    Shows many reports about your connected network. Which site is being accessed and many others

    about:plugins
    Some thing called plugin, An additional utility to browser like ActiveX Plug-ins, Google Gears 0.4.17.0,BitCometAgent , Microsoft Office 2003, Google Update etc are there.

    Words suggests its all about Chrome version we have on our set.

  • Yahoo is closing Mash

    Yahoo’s One of the popular service Yahoo Mash Started Last September will be shutting down at this month End. Shocked ?? yes I was too. yahoo’s Social network site is being closed. I will really mis the mash feature. I love to edit other users’ pages, except in cases where the other users have switched the feature off. Well Other Networks Like FaceBook, Myspace, Orkut didn’t have this Fantastic one.

    Bye Bye Mash !! 🙁

  • Google Chrome : NEW OPEN SOURCE browser

    At last Google entered the Open source market, its Beta Launch today yet to launch. Google Chrome is Google’s open source browser with little components from Apple’s WebKit and Mozilla’s Firefox. this browser will also include JavaScript Virtual Machine called V8 to gear up the performance . The browser has an address bar with auto-completion features Called ’omnibox’ and many up coming features with it.

    But I think Google was promoting Mozilla’s Firefox Via Adsense and other matter, how suddenly they are launching there own new browser??

    I looked the Images of Chrome doesn’t fascinate me at all. but who know some good things are there like Comedy they launched before App launch. I think this is a start of war against Microsoft products specially image from Chetan’s Blog made me think. Well I am waiting for launch.

  • Dahi Handi at my Place

    Janmashtami celebrations were still on few couple of days !! Some dudes here called it Yogurt Pot festival for a change. The video shows the fun part, Although they had to lower the height of Dahi-Handi (the pot they are suppose to break to steal the Curd/yogurt inside) since none of the crew had enough man power to reach up to the original height, it was still a game of huge physical expertise and skills.

    This is Occasion We all Celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna the eighth avatar (Incarnation) of Lord Vishnu . On this auspicious occasion, temples and homes are beautifully decorated. Krishna janm( Birth ) is Celebrated at 12 night of krishna paksha Ashtami ( Refer Indian Calender for this Terminology ).  Celebrations in form of Dahi Handi (My most lovely event in this celebration)(Specially in Maharashtra !!)

  • Google Digg Deal explained ??

    My Previous post Google walk away from Digg deal, my question was there till today morning. why Google is interested in Digg ?? Digg has nothing but lots of members and lots of impression( may be half or less that googles search engine main page hits). here’s what my mind concluded : In Feb, Yahoo launched Yahoo Buzz (Don’t stare !!) Well i don’t know when google go for Digg deal but hence Google did take an activity to stand up Against the Big Y ! Competitor. Developing New System like digg is not big task for Google. but getting number of users to use such feature is little tedious task especially  in such market  of knowledge sharing where Digg, Stumble Upon, propeller and a long list which is even available in my Share icons at the lower of post !! And Digg is Top one in this Market so the Offer of $200M is not that much affective for google to stand in the competition.

    Not much cool as that of digg but its Fine still its in beta Period. and Yahoo had done lots creative works. Yet its simple to share information. recently its open for all. implies soon will be ready to come out of Beta. Tapan Bhat mentioned Yahoo buzz will be generating lots traffic ( For test matter I have submitted one of my post. share you the Report in next few days !!)
