Google Digg Deal explained ??
My Previous post Google walk away from Digg deal, my question was there till today morning. why Google is interested in Digg ?? Digg has nothing but lots of members and lots of impression( may be half or less that googles search engine main page hits). here’s what my mind concluded : In Feb, Yahoo launched Yahoo Buzz (Don’t stare !!) Well i don’t know when google go for Digg deal but hence Google did take an activity to stand up Against the Big Y ! Competitor. Developing New System like digg is not big task for Google. but getting number of users to use such feature is little tedious task especially in such market of knowledge sharing where Digg, Stumble Upon, propeller and a long list which is even available in my Share icons at the lower of post !! And Digg is Top one in this Market so the Offer of $200M is not that much affective for google to stand in the competition.
Not much cool as that of digg but its Fine still its in beta Period. and Yahoo had done lots creative works. Yet its simple to share information. recently its open for all. implies soon will be ready to come out of Beta. Tapan Bhat mentioned Yahoo buzz will be generating lots traffic ( For test matter I have submitted one of my post. share you the Report in next few days !!)

Upgraded WordPress
Yes hardly 15 days ago WordPress 2.6 was launched !! I upgraded to it. Working fine for me. I didn’t notice any flaws but still tester are the great people. they do great things with there box.
Few Major Issues observerd :- Sporadic timeout /wp-includes/gettext.php
- Category/tag URL changed if the permalink structure has static strings
- Publishing directly sets wrong date on ‘post_date_gmt’
55+ more issues where solved in the new one launched yesterday !! Proud to say I upgraded to WordPress2.6.1

I think no one expect such things from Microsoft and Mozilla.

Google Walks Away From Digg Deal
I don’t know when google Offer 200 Million dollar to Digg. I am not Steve Jobs or Bill Gates to know these deals. I found over TechCrunch.
Frankly A website like Digg has no real benefit to a company like Google. Digg is more of a comedy website than a news website and the only benefit that it could ever bring Google is a search deal to take over the broken search feature on Digg, similar to how search was placed on MySpace.
Besides, no way in hell is Digg worth $200M. but I was interested in seeing what Google had for an idea after the purchase.

Google’s Q1 (2008) PageRank Update Beginned !!
Matt Cutts Announced thatnew toolbar PageRank values should become visible over the next few days. I’m expecting that also in the next few days that we’ll be expiring some older penalties on websites.
Still updates are going on!! so I can expect some PR 1 or 2 to this web-log. but according to Digital point Forum This Update is the Strangest Update ever Occurred. Still Big Sites like digpagerank and Iwebtool are still not able to Fetch exact data from Page Rank Data Centres. Few Data Centres are yet to be updated.
So Hope some Good Comes out of it !!
