Just went through the newly released Nokia Maps – “HERE”.
The interface is really smooth and easy, and doesn’t take long to load a large amount of data like Google Maps does. Sounds like Nokia is competing with Google?
Not really — currently HERE has city and country maps available, whereas Google uses Google Places data in Maps, which makes it heavier when loading a lot of information.
For simple and smooth UI (at least on my screen), I’ll prefer it for routing locations and some map-scientist features available in HERE Preferences.
Looks promising, and supports various devices.
